How we work

All members of World Link for Law are scrutinised by the Association to make sure they meet our exacting standards. All members comply with a detailed Quality Code and at the conclusion of each matter clients are provided with a questionnaire to ask for their opinions about the quality of the services that they have received.

As a network association we are flexible to meet your needs in the way that we work with you. For example, we are happy to co-ordinate your requirements through our Administration Service. In many cases, however, services are frequently co-ordinated by a member firm in your country, alternatively we are happy to place you in contact with each individual member firm.

We will not proceed with an instruction until we have agreed a basis of charging with you, have agreed who will be responsible for handling your work and that you have full information about the lawyers and their skills. Our primary objective is to provide you with the exact assistance that you need. Therefore if we are unable to assist you directly, we will always endeavour to provide you with another professional contact.

Benefits and Advantages

World Link for Law comprises 70 law firms and over 310 partners and 600 lawyers in 47 countries worldwide (and 80 locations). Most firms are medium size and they all are focused on providing corporate/commercial legal services to medium sized companies involved in international trade.  The association is primarily a work referral network, with strong personal affiliations, providing members and their clients with easy and confident access to other member law firms overseas (and vice versa). To secure minimum standards in work referral situations, the association has a quality code that binds all members. The association also organises conferences; shares practice management ideas; exchanges information and publishes business and legal information.

Quality Assurance

Wherever in the world you are dealing with a World Link for Law member firm, we recognise that quality standards need to be uniformly high and that they are all equipped to meet the demands of a modern international legal practice.

With this in mind the criteria for new firms joining World Link for Law is very strict. All firms are reviewed; must demonstrate appropriate experience; provide references from existing clients and must adhere to our Quality Code. In addition to this we also operate a system of providing clients with quality of service questionnaires at the conclusion of a matter and encourage these to be returned to our Executive for evaluation. We act upon any findings and make improvements, where necessary, to our overall quality standards.
